Fence Guru Trade Tip: Core Drilling Balustrade Spigots

These professional-grade balustrade spigots are larger than standard glass pool spigots. Each core drill spigot measures 60 mm × 45 mm with a diagonal of about 75 mm corner to corner. For a FAST & EASY install and to avoid frustration or re-drilling, give yourself a little extra clearance.

The problem: A 76 mm core drill bit is too tight. There’s no room to adjust or fill around the spigot once it’s set.

The solution: Use an 83 mm or 89 mm core drill bit. That small gap all around makes alignment easy, saves time, and ensures a solid finish when filled with non-shrink grout or epoxy.
