Designed for easy DIY assembly and a professional finish, it's compatible with standard 16mm or 16.5mm thick horizontal aluminium slats (typically 65mm or 90mm wide).

Cutting Aluminium Note:

Use a proper aluminium cutting blade like this blade sold by Bunnings with a standard compound mitre saw like this 185mm Ozito one for a clean, straight cut.

Instructions for a Strong Slat Gate (up to 1600mm wide):

Gate strength relies on securing each slat with 4 tech screws (2 per side) and ensuring slats are cut straight and installed firmly against the frame. See product photos for visual guidance. Temporary spacers (or our optional nylon spacers) are used until all slats are screwed in place.

1. Lay gate frames on a flat surface. Attach the first slat level with the top using one screw on each side, ensuring it's tight against the frame.
2. Install remaining slats, using temporary spacers or our black nylon spacers (available in 5mm, 9mm, 12mm, 15mm, 20mm, and 30mm sizes, sold in packs of 50) to achieve your desired gap. Alternatively, cut temporary spacers from dressed pine (e.g., like this 8mm thick one from Bunnings).
3. Attach the last slat with one screw on each side. Ensure the gate is square, then secure all slats with two screws per side, starting with a middle slat.
