Where do I place my spigots in relation to each panel of 12mm Frameless Pool Glass?

Please use the following guide for recommended spigot spacing. The distances are measured from the edge of the glass panel to the center of each spigot.

  • 300mm to 700mm panels: Spigots should be placed 100mm in from each end.
  • 750mm to 1050mm panels: Spigots should be placed 150mm in from each end.
  • 1100mm to 1350mm panels: Spigots should be placed 200mm in from each end.
  • 1400mm to 1750mm panels: Spigots should be placed 250mm in from each end.
  • 1800mm to 2000mm panels: Spigots should be placed 300mm in from each end.

Important: These measurements are a good guide. Spigots do not need to be placed at these exact distances, and there will be no problem with slight variations.

What type of posts do I need to build an aluminium or glass pool fence or steel security fencing?

We provide different types of posts to suit various installation methods for our aluminium pool and garden fencing, as well as our frameless glass fencing.

For Aluminium Pool & Garden Fencing:

  • Concrete-In Post: Our 1.8m posts come with a cap and are designed to be concreted directly into the ground. They can also be cut down and fixed to a wall using a suitable bracket.
  • Bolt-Down Post: Our 1.3m flanged posts come with a cap and a pre-welded 4-hole base plate, allowing them to be bolted securely to a concrete slab or a reinforced timber deck.

For Frameless Glass Pool Fencing:

  • Core Drilled Spigot: Suitable for grouting into a core-drilled hole in a concrete slab.
  • Bolt-Down Spigot: Features a four-hole base plate that can be bolted to a concrete slab or a reinforced deck.

For Security Fencing:

  • We offer a versatile universal steel security fence post that can be either concreted into the ground (with the base plate set into the concrete) or securely bolted to a concrete slab via its two-hole heavy-duty welded base plate.

How do I install my base-plated spigots on concrete?

First and foremost, it is crucial to ensure that your concrete slab is level. This is very important, as an uneven slab can result in your glass panels being misaligned along the top.

For a comprehensive outline of all the steps, we highly recommend watching this helpful video from one of our customers. It demonstrates how to install these spigots using our stainless steel threaded rod kit to secure them.

Do you do gate automation?

We do not supply or install gate automation systems. This is a highly specialized field that requires an expert to ensure the gate and automation system are installed correctly and safely.

If you would like a completely automated sliding gate, we recommend you hire a gate automation specialist to manufacture, supply, and install both the gate and the automation system for you.

Do you do custom-made fencing and gates?

Yes! We manufacture custom flat fence panels and gates to suit your unique project dimensions.

However, please note:

We generally have a minimum order quantity of 10 panels for all custom orders.

We can provide a quote for smaller quantities of custom panels, including raked/sloping panels and special-sized gates, if you are also ordering a larger quantity of standard fencing materials from us.
