➡️ Step-by-Step DIY Installation Guide

1. Plan Your Layout: Measure each run/span of your fence and plan your glass line. Note: The “span” is the actual length of glass required – not the edge of your slab or deck. When following a slab or deck edge, glass is typically set back around 100mm.
2. Select Your Glass Sizes: Choose panel sizes to suit your layout. Leave 20–60mm gaps between panels. Use our Glass Pool Fence Planner to design your layout.
3. Mark Spigot Positions: Mark where each spigot will go using a string line or laser level. Refer to the spacing guide at the bottom of our Spigots & Fixings page.
4. Install the Spigots: Use stainless steel threaded rod with adhesive for concrete, or stainless bolts/screws for timber. Avoid zinc-plated hardware. Hot-dip galvanised is a budget alternative, but not manufacturer-recommended.
5. Insert the Glass Panels: Lower glass into spigots. If rubber sleeves or pads are included, insert them into the spigot throat first. Important: Never rest the glass edge directly on concrete or decking or allow it to hit the spigot. Dropping the edge on a hard object like a stone or nail can shatter toughened glass.
6. Align and Adjust: Tighten both Allen key screws on each spigot to clamp the glass. Adjust spacing and level before fully tightening. Use spacers near the top of the spigot to push/tilt the glass panels into a straight fence line – or use our Double Friction Spigot for achieving sideways tilt adjustment but adjusting the pair of grub screws on each side of the spigot.
7. Install End Supports (if needed): Use wall brackets or RIGI-Clamps for panels at walls or needing bracing. Its always recommended to brace retaining wall panels over 1400mm high.
8. Fit the Gate and Hinges: Allow a 20mm total gate gap (10mm per side). Install soft-close hinges or spring-loaded hinges and fit the friction-fit latch. Adjust the adjacent glass panel to fine-tune the latch gap if needed. Note: The Glass to Glass latches fits directly onto any standard glass fence panel with friction grip by tightening the grub screws .
9. Final Inspection: Check all panels are secure and properly spaced. Confirm your setup meets pool safety regulations.

• Glass Panels: Clean regularly using a soft cloth and mild glass cleaner.
• Stainless Steel Components: Clean with mild detergent and water to prevent tea staining, and rinse periodically to maintain appearance. Do not use acidic or abrasive cleaners.

Fence Guru™ glass pool fencing system is EASY for DIY installation: 
There are no bolt holes in the glass panel... meaning that the spigots are not required to be fitted to the glass panel in an exact position - this allows for easy adjustment. The spigots are a 'friction fit' meaning that the spigots are clamped tightly to the glass with two Allen key screws on the back of the spigot. The screws push a pressure plate hard onto the glass panel and firmly clamp it into place. If you need to move a panel slightly, or completely remove a panel for any reason, you can simply loosen the Allen key screws. The ability to slightly move a panel is so important, especially when it comes to fine tuning the opening for your glass gate and also for fine tuning the gaps between your glass panels.

All edges are beautifully bevelled and polished. Our panels have no sharp corners as they have a bevelled and polished radius edge.

Recommended gaps:
We recommend that the gap between each glass panel be between 20 to 60mm. At the start and finish of each length also leave a gap of 20 to 60mm. Gap under the glass is normally around 50mm.
